Javed Aslam
Inaugural Chief of Artificial Intelligence
A professor in the Khoury College of Computer Sciences, Javed Aslam’s research centers on AI and its applications, including machine learning, information retrieval, natural language processing, and healthcare. He also serves as the chief data science officer at CodaMetrix, an AI-healthcare company that uses AI tools to help clients automate medical coding processes.

Tina Eliassi-Rad
Professor of Computer Sciences
As a core faculty member at ѿý’s Institute for Experiential AI, Tina Eliassi-Rad’s research focuses on the intersection of data mining, machine learning, and network science. Eliassi-Rad’s work has been applied to personalized search on the World Wide Web, fraud detection, mobile ad targeting, and ethics in machine learning.

Timothy W. Bickmore
Professor of Computer Sciences
Timothy Bickmore’s work concentrates on the relationships of human-computer interaction, natural language processing (dialogue systems), animation, and health/medical/behavioral informatics. He has spent much of his career studying how technology can be used to facilitate better medical outcomes for patients. He’s also director of the Relational Agents Group.
